FAQs

I am looking for Rose + Thyme Floral, what happened?

Katie - the owner of Rosie Rue and Rose + Thyme - recently had a baby! Her and her husband wanted to continually expand the floral business, but felt that Rose + Thyme was directly associated with Katie and wanted to keep Rose + Thyme floral as a premium florist for brides with larger budgets with her limited time! But they didn't want all the other brides to go without gorgeous flowers, so thus Rosie Rue was created!

Every single employee is trained by Katie, but brides are then able to be taken through a simpler process along the Rosie Rue (road in French) where they meet with various employees to create their vision, get their invoice and then receive their gorgeous flowers!

How far in advance should I order wedding flowers?

Wedding flower inquiries should be - at the VERY least - one month in advance, though much more time is much appreciated and encouraged. The process of planning your vision, figuring out pricing, ordering needed supplies, and getting the flowers you want shipped in specifically for your order is tedious and takes a lot of time!

If you are needing flowers and you don’t have that much time left, email us! We will see what we can do! There are fees in place for quicker processing time (it’s kinda like expedited shipping if that makes sense;) but that way you jump to the front of the line and we can work out all the details and figure something that is right for you!

Rest assured we will make your day how you envisioned it, though with last minute orders, we cannot ensure specified flowers will be available as we try to order flowers for customers 3 weeks in advance.

What can I expect to spend on flowers?

Prices vary a LOT depending on wedding size, wedding party, reception location etc.
GENERAL Idea of Budgeting is as Follows:

Rosie Rue Brides
$250-$350 (just bridals - bouquet and boutonniere only)
$400-$700 (mini wedding - simple bouquet, small wedding party)
$750-$1400 (x-small wedding cost - small bouquet, small wedding party, 1 statement piece-arch OR centerpieces etc)
$1500-$2000 (small wedding costs - medium bouquet, smaller wedding party, but 1 or 2 statement pieces-arches/centerpieces etc.)
$2000-$3000 (medium wedding cost - large bouquet, medium wedding party, arch corner piece, small amount on site work, etc.)

Rose + Thyme Brides
$3000-$7000 (mid-large wedding cost - statement bouquet, large wedding party, arch, centerpieces, on site work etc.)
$7000-$10,000 (large wedding cost - premium bouquet, larger wedding party, 1 specialty arch/install, large centerpieces, half day of on-site work etc.)
$10,000-$15,000 (x-large wedding cost - premium bouquet, larger wedding party, 2 specialty arch/installs, large centers, half day on site work)
$15,000-$20,000 (extravagant wedding cost - premium bouquet, larger wedding party, 3 specialty arch/install pieces, large centers, full day of onsite)
$20,000+ (show-stopping wedding cost - spared no expense bouquet, extravagant parties, multiple specialty pieces, above and beyond, ceiling installs, etc.)

Keep in mind, we are custom florists and try to work within your budget. Pricing can vary a bit based on what you are wanting! If you would like additional info on pricing and are interested in learning more, sign up for a free consultation and a general price guide will be sent your way!

How do I talk to Rosie Rue about doing my flowers?

The best way is to sign up for a free consultation found throughout the website. From there, you will receive an email with a general price guide, a questionnaire, and a square appointment calendar where you can set up a time to chat with one of our designers over the phone! If you have any questions, feel free to dm us on Instagram, text or email us! (see contact section above )

Before we meet, we also would ask that you check out Rose + Thyme Floral on Pinterest and find a couple inspo pics you really like and send them over!

When and where do I pick up?

We are easy to find on google maps but we do have a pickup and delivery guide we send to you a month or so before the wedding, that will give you all the info!  Please read through the guide- it answers a TON of frequently asked questions there! Also! Don’t forget to answer the questions sent in the email we give you! There you can tell us what time works best for you for pickup!

When you get to the shop, go through the doors on the south side, we are the first door inside on your right! Someone should be there to assist you once you arrive!

How do I keep the flowers fresh and looking good?

Water is KEY. Keep them in cold water AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Driving to and from places, or when you aren’t using it are great times to shove that beautiful bouquet in water to keep it lookin fresh;) Literally any time you can put it in water, do it!
With boutonnieres, corsages, and flower crowns, they have no water source, so putting them back in the box and spraying them with water before the reception is a good way to keep it fresh. A LOT of groom boutonnieres are DESTROYED after the ceremony before the reception from lots of hugs, we  always tell our brides to consider getting two for at least the groom!
If you are picking up the night before or have a while before usage: Fridges are usually okay for flowers, but sometimes can be too cold! Flowers like it best between 34 and 36 degrees. So, if your fridge is too cold or you don’t have enough room, place the flowers out of direct sunlight and somewhere cool as much as possible leading up to the event.

I have seen you do floral preservation - how do I learn more about that?

Yes we do! White Poppy Presses is our framing company associated with Rosie Rue! Click the preservation link above to check it out! Be aware this process takes 6-10 weeks after the wedding. The flowers must be as fresh as possible and still in water if you want them pressed, otherwise, we will do the shadow box! This option isn’t JUST for our clients, but you DO get a special deal on your preserved frame if you go with us for fresh and pressed florals!

What do you offer and what is your general pricing?

We offer top-notch amazing florals of course;) We typically customize in weddings, but also love doing florals of all occasions! We also can provide everyday arrangements, special events, collaborations, funerals, dances, and any other floral needs you could desire! As far as pricing goes, we have a general price guide that gives a very good idea of what we generally charge! Check it out above! That will give you the general idea of what we typically price our pieces at!

I love your work and am working on expanding my portfolio through a collaboration, would you like to join?

We actually do not participate in collabs, but our owner Katie with Rose + Thyme might be available and interested! Send us an email or reach out to her on her instagram @roseandthymefloral with your inspo and she will see if she is available!

I am interested in working at Rose + Thyme and would like to apply for a job, are you hiring?

As of right now, we ARE looking to expand Rosie Rue Floral Co., but we are only hiring employees with prior experience! If you don’t have floral experience, however, don’t be alarmed! We do hire unpaid interns in summer to help you learn and eventually will have a course that will give you all the info you need to be successful as a future florist! Stay tuned as we figure out all the details! You can also always shoot us an email to see if we are needing help in our sister company White Poppy Presses that does bouquet preservation!
